I am delighted to announce the imminent creation of a Livingstone/MacLea branch for Australia and New Zealand.

Grant South has kindly take on the responsibility of establishing the branch under the overall auspices of the Scottish Australian Heritage Council.

I have therefore given Grant a commission as my father’s Lieutenant for Australia and New Zealand.  Grant's commission is for a year and he is going to persuade, badger or coerce others to join and take part.  The idea is that in time the branch will be able to choose its own officers etc.

In the name of God and the blessed St Moluag, Amen….
To our trusty and well beloved  ~ Grant South ~ Greeting:
We, Niall Livingstone, Younger of Bachuil, by command of Alastair Livingstone of Bachuil, by the Grace of God Baron of the Bachuil, Coarb of St Moluag and Chief of MacLea reposing great trust and confidence in your loyalty, knowledge and ability, do by these Presents authorise and appoint you to be
Our Lieutenant for Australia and New Zealand
for the purpose and with the powers following, that it to say, to establish a Clan Society for Australia and New Zealand;
AND We do by these Presents authorise you, our said Lieutenant, to hold office for a term of one year, or until the same be recalled by me, commencing from the date of this, your appointment, and to be eligible for re-appointment on the expiry thereof:
AND We do by these Presents authorise you, our said Lieutenant, to display our Pinsel, as a symbol of your authority when you are executing your duties with regard to the subject of this Our Commission:
AND for the better effecting the purposes of this Our Commission, We do by these Presents give and grant unto you full power to co-opt such persons that will assist you upon the subject of this Our Commission:
AND you are to help establish a properly constituted Clan Society, whose President shall be the Chief of McLea; to attract Members to the said Society; to agree with us a constitution for the said Society;  and to ratify on our behalf suitable office bearers to be elected from amongst the Membership of the said Society:
AND you are to obey and follow such lawful orders and directions from time to time as you shall receive from Us, your Chief, at your peril:
AND We do by these Presents require you to report to Us your proceedings under this Our Commission from time to time.
GIVEN at Milnathort the fifteenth day of February in the Year of Our Lord Two thousand and six;
