There is a famous Scottish ballard that tells of two young highlanders who were captured after Culloden and sent to London for trial.  One fellow was sentenced to hanging and the other was to be set free.  The condemned highlander wrote a poem and gave it to his friend who would be freed.  In the poem he referred to the Celtic belief that if you were out of the country when you died, your soul would travel through the underworld and return to the highlands, or as he stated, "I'll take the low road."

I would like to think that Rob's soul will take the low road and find it's way to the home that was in his heart.
