Hi Donald;

Re:  McGillivary-

The Honourable William McGillivary:  born in Strathnairn the son of Donald McGillivary of Dalscoilte; near Dunmaglas.

William McGillivary was Chief Superintendant of the North West Company.  Fort William is named after William.  William returned to Scotland and purchased the old McGillivary holding of Pennyghael, on the Isle of Mull.

Our 3th greatgrandfather, John 1807-1859, was married to Anne McGillivary:  in 1829 and was b. 1810, in Low Point, Cape Breton d. 1881 d/o John McGillivary b. 1786 Scotland d. 1820 and Mary Orman b. c. 1786 d. 1881.
